To honor His Majesty King BHUMIBOL ADULYADEJ on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty’s 80th birthday anniversary, the Ministry of Energy in cooperation with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) will offer PhD scholarships from the Energy Conservation Promotion Fund to support human resource development in Energy. The scholarships are awarded on a highly competitive basis to well-qualified Thai applicants for study at the Energy Field of Study, School of Environment, Resources and Development, AIT.
The scholarship will cover all academic and accommodation fees on campus for 3 years (six semesters) and is inclusive of grants for conducting research with partner universities abroad for at least 3 months.
Objective of the project
Provide an expert; develop in the excusive, administrative level, and office-bearer in Doctoral degree in energy area to support Energy policies and Energy strategies of Thailand in term of energy conservation and energy efficiency.

In compliance with the Energy strategy and Policy of the Energy Conservation Promotion Fund committee, the scholarship recipients are expected to conduct research related to Energy Conservation, Renewable Energy, and Energy Efficiency.

Energy Technology (ET)
Electric Power system Management (EPSM)
Energy Economics and Planning (EEP)
Target group of the project
Government agencies or state of enterprise staff, office-bearer or consultant who work related to Energy, Energy Conservation.
Instructors of Thai Government or Autonomous Universities.
Admission Requirements
Applicant must hold Thai nationality, should not be more than 45 years.
Must work in government agencies or state of enterprise for at least 2 years.
Applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Physics, Economics, Management an Public administration (with relevant energy background)
Demonstrate sufficient English proficiency by meeting the English Entry Requirement of AIT.
