Research and outreach activities of the field of study are related to the key areas mentioned above. Training, short-course programs and study visits in the context of regional and rural development and related fields could be customized according to the needs of participants from both developed and developing countries. The faculty members are regularly involved in such activities with different United Nations Organizations and other international agencies.
Preferred background for master degree, diploma or certificate programs are in:
geography, economics, sociology, anthropology, practical science, public administration, agricultural science, architecture, civil engineering, rural and regional planning, and other related disciplines. Professional experience in rural development related areas would be an added advantage.
Preferred background for doctoral program:
Master’s degree in a relevant field and detailed dissertation research outline must be submitted with the application.
