Professor Rajendra Shrestha, Dean of The School of Environment, Resources and Development  along with Mr Sanjeev Jayesinghe, Director of Office of Advancement visited Srilanka for MoU signing program between University of Jaffna (UoJ) and AIT on 3 May 2018. The signing ceremony was organized at Galadari hotel of Colombo, where Vice Chancellor ,Prof. R. Vigneswaran along with other delegates from Jaffna University were also present for this occasion.

Dean also met with Prof. P.S.M. Gunaratne, Vice Chairman of UGC who offered to have MoU between UGC and AIT so that all Universities of Sri Lanka would come to know about AIT and lecturers could access the fund to study at AIT if they meet the UGC and AIT requirements.

Meeting was also organized at Sri Lanka Council for Agriculture Research Policy (CARP), Ministry of Agriculture of Sri Lanka. They are interested to send Ministry staff to study at Master’s and PhD level. Prof. Tripathi, Dr Matthew Dailey, OADV director Sanjeev, Ms Sitahng and Dean also visited Sri Lanka Technological Campus in Padukka and met senior administration members and had an interaction program with more than 100 student audiences.
