Dr. Ekbordin Winijkul was invited to join the RHCCM meeting in Chiang Mai on May 28, 2018. The workshop was organized by the Haze Free Thailand project and the National Research Council of Thailand. Under the Haze Free Thailand Project, the research universities are working together to reduce haze and haze impact in Thailand. Each university, since 2017, has utilized their expertise to assist Thai society to overcome the impact of haze challenge.

There were representatives from Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos and Indonesia who presented their perspectives on sources and challenges of haze and transboundary pollutants in their countries. Discussions on how to start a collaboration among CLMVTI countries to monitor and mitigate the haze pollutants in the region was also held in the workshop.
