GEC: Cleaner
Production Technology Database |

GEC Environmental
Technology Database (NETT21) is a database of the technology
information which Japanese private corporations provided us with for
the purpose of supporting the resolution of the environmental
pollution problems, at present developing countries face. On sites in
developing countries, the concrete technology information applied to
the site has been still required because Cleaner Production has been
not pervaded sufficiently. In Cleaner Production Technology covering a
wide range, particularly there is plenty of accumulation of the
concrete technologies in the producing process in

JOURNAL OF CLEANER PRODUCTION |
|
The
Journal of Cleaner Production serves as an interdisciplinary,
international forum for the exchange of information and research
results on the technologies, concepts and policies designed to help
ensure progress towards sustainable societies. It aims to encourage
industrial innovation, new and improved products, and the
implementation of new, cleaner processes, products and services. It is
also designed to stimulate the development and implementation of
prevention oriented governmental policies and education programmes.
Cleaner production is a concept that goes beyond simple pollution
control. It involves active research and development into new
processes, materials and products which are more resource and energy
efficient. Prevention is increasingly becoming the primary corporate
and government approach for ensuring environmentally friendly and
economically sound production and service provision strategies.
Technical assistance and training programs are increasingly being
established to accelerate the adoption of cleaner production by
governments and universities.

Once the data is verified it is then added to maESTro and disseminated
globally to maESTro users. Users can also develop their own Personal
EST Database and access current information that is regularly updated
by IETC as well as EST contributors - individual users, organizations
and institutions. User online registration is available.

| CPAS
(Clean Process Advisory System) |
The
Clean Process Advisory System (CPAS™) is conceived as a system
of software for efficiently delivering information on clean technologies
and pollution prevention methodologies to the conceptual process and
product designer on an as-needed basis. The system is meant to address
the challenge of incorporating environmental considerations into conceptual
process and product design, where the majority of the waste can be
reduced in a cost effective manner. Development of the system is occurring
through a series of independent projects.
For further details, please contact the system
