A six-member team from the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of GajahMada (UGM), Indonesia visited SERD on 12 December 2017 to discuss about possible collaboration under current MoU between UGM and AIT. The team was led by Dr Ir. Sri Nuryani Hidaya Utami, Vice Dean for Research Collaboration and Community Services. Other members included Prof. Junun Sartohadi, Dr. Benito Heru Purwanto (Head of Department of Soil Science), Dr Eko Hanudin (Coordinator for Master’s program) and two lecturers.
The discussion specifically included UGM interest in sending UGM lecturers to study Master’s and Doctoral programs in Agriculture Systems and Engineering and Natural Resources Management at AIT, and inviting AIT experts to Eco-DRR summer course to be held in UGM early next year. The team met SERD Dean Prof. Rajendra Shrestha, Dr Indra Jit Pal, Dr Avishek Datta, Dr Anil Anal, Dr B. Hadikusumo along with the visit of ASE facilities.
